Chinese for Beginners - Number and Date

Mandarin Chinese is among the world’s most widely spoken languages. Understanding dates and numbers in Mandarin Chinese will aid you in learning many other fundamental concepts. The numbering system we study in this course is the foundation for mastering concepts like weeks, months, dates and years. We then show you how to properly describe time and use the words you've learned to compose sentences. Finally, we discuss Chinese holidays.

This short course teaches you about Chinese numbers and dates to help you become proficient in the use of symbols for each digit as you learn to count from zero to one hundred. Learning fundamental Mandarin Chinese vocabulary will enable you to experiment with terms, pick up new words and improve your communication abilities whether you wish to study Chinese extensively or just understand its basics. For instance, you might say ‘chūnjié’ to your loved one this year instead of ‘happy new year’ to pique their curiosity about learning and gain a companion with whom to study as a bonus.
Knowing Chinese terminology is one thing, using it in the proper sentence structure is quite another. We instruct you on how to use the vocabulary, tones and appropriate pronunciations to enhance your ability to sound like a native speaker and impress your audience. We examine holidays like Valentine's Day, Christmas, Labour Day and explain how to discuss them using the phrasing you have learnt in this course.
This course is simple to study since it includes speaking and listening exercises to help you solidify your comprehension of some of the basic vocabulary and symbols in the Chinese Mandarin language. Anyone serious about studying Chinese should enrol in this course that helps you master its basic vocabulary to express yourself in simple sentences.
